07:32 <liquid-silence> hi all, we are embarking on a new platform that needs to be built, I am trying to figure out if mongodb is a good fit for our platform
07:32 <liquid-silence> there are some relational data (users get linked with projects)

16:35 <_ohm> I'm trying to filter out some data based on ISODate, they are datetimes going down to the millisecond level. I'd like to make a filter based on how many unique days there are in the DB. Is there a way I can do this in the aggregation framework?
16:36 <_ohm> I can do it via a datetime, time delta iterative loop in python and limit 1 per return to ensure that the day exists in the database, but if possible i'd like to move the loop's logic into the db and have the db do the calculation rather than python
16:37 <_ohm> I was thinking $gte and $lt filters applied to ISODate(), but I'd have to make a query for every day in the date range provided
16:37 <_ohm> hence python loop, which is slow....

20:04 <markizano> hi all
20:05 <markizano> When I create a custom role that has listDatabases action enabled on the admin db, then grant this custom role to my user, I still can't do `show dbs' at the console.
20:05 <markizano> I'll post some pastebins as examples, but can anyone help me understand what permission I might be missing so a user/admin can use `show dbs'?
