Good morning to all ... new to Vagrant and trying to understand the difference between the 2 idioms I see specifying private network settings:
 machine.vm.network :private_network, ip: "192.168.5.10"
 machine.vm.network "private_network", ip: "192.168.5.10"
what's the diff between 1 and 2? Same thing, expressed differently?
HanSooloo: yes, they are functionally equivalent
awesome ... are there semantic differences? like one is referring to a plugin, the other referring to a built-in, etc?
no, if a symbol is given it's just cast to a string
right, :private_network being the symbol and that being cast to the string "private_network", I suppose?
hey all, I have an old debian squeeze distro I want to vagrant up, however, before my bootstrap script starts, vagrant starts to try and apt-get update and since the distro is in end of life, it fails. I have a sed command to fix this, but I need it to run BEFORE the guest additions is installed, is there a way to do that?
