https://github.com/vagrant-libvirt/vagrant-libvirt can anybody tell me in a few words the difference in Vagrant between public network and private network?
because I have read https://www.vagrantup.com
/docs/networking/public_network.html but haven't had any success in understanding it well
Hi, can anybody help me? Thx https://serverfault.com/questions/848708/vagrant-libvirt-change-default-installation-path
Can I use docker as vagrant provider? I want VM-like short lived virtual machines - and using linux on linux with docker would be faster + leaner than a full fledged hvm
how compatible are home directories across different linux distros?
specifically, is something going to get messed up if i used one distro with my home directory (and dot files) and then move that directory to another distro?
you can ignore that last comment. that was intended for a different channel. sorry 'bout that.
b-jazz: in general that's probably not a good idea
it might work but if the application versions varying too much then that could lead to unpredictable behavior
probably won't turn your computer to molten lead but it could be an unpleasant experience
I'm thinking more along the lines of "setting critical in CentOS 6's GNOME is no longer present in Arch's version of GNOME"
or the other way around rather
yeah, that's the type of thing i was worried about.
The closer your application versions are the safer it is so going between reasonably current iterations of ubuntu is probably safe
