04:17 <aetimmes1> hi all. running on vagrant 1.9.5 on OSX with virtualbox 5.1.22. running vagrant init centos/7; vagrant up gives me an rsync-related error, and then vagrant ssh gives a "ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host" error.

10:38 <ronjakoi> I don't really understand the box catalog
10:38 <ronjakoi> so anyone can make a box of any OS and upload it to the catalog?
10:39 <ronjakoi> how do I know any given box I use doesn't contain a pre-installed rootkit, backdoor, keylogger, something?
10:39 <ronjakoi> why would anyone use a box made by somebody else? isn't that a huge security liability?
10:41 <ronjakoi> as opposed to: downloading a traditional, signed installation image from a distro's mirror site?

14:11 <aetimmes1> sorry - asked this question last night but disconnected from IRC shortly after:

14:13 <aetimmes1> only plugins i have installed are vagrant-share and vagrant-vbguest.
14:16 <drm> I have commands in my config.vm.provision section of the Vagrantfile. The console reports that all of these lines are being run, but when i ssh into the virtual machine it is obvious that some of them did not in fact run (for example, the 'awscli' package did not get installed, even though the console tells me that it did). What would cause all the shell commands to be run, but only some of...
14:16 <drm> ...them to actually work?
14:19 <aetimmes1> https://gist.github.com/aetimmes/ac6a26a00839b86d0080904c48f04ddf <-- full output of vagrant init/up/ssh
14:23 <aetimmes1> ahhhh nevermind. my own local ssh config was screwing up the rsync and ssh.

16:59 <rubidious> Hello. Does anyone know what the status of this packer bug is? https://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg1519872.html
17:00 <rubidious> packer can't login to its own ssh
17:00 <rubidious> apparently because of some upstream bug in go crypto, which has since been fixed

17:26 <phelix> I keep getting a mysql failed to write error which would seem to indicate that its out of storage. But I have over 40gigs on this. Anyone have an idea on what might be happening? Pretty new to vagrant
